We here at FlyBoy Wakesurf Boards have know the good folks at Fresh Air Exhaust for many years and just recently ran across a new YouTube video they posted.  While wakesurfing is probably one of the safest sports available, there is a slight danger being around the emissions from a gasoline powered engine.  Interestingly enough, there is more risk of Carbom Mononoxide poisioning for folks inside the boat, due to what is referred to as the “station wagon effect”.  There is a great deal of published information on the Fresh Air Exhasut site, but for this article, we recommend you take a few minutes to watch the attached video.

One of the first modifications for any serious wakesurf boat should be Fresh Air Exhaust.  Fresh Air Exhaust reroutes the exhaust fumes down into the water, specifically into the prop wash where it exits the water safely behind the rider.  The addition of Fresh Air Exhaust elimiantes up to 90% of deadly Carbon Monoxide gas.  As a byproduct of this safety increase, noise is also reduced by up to 50%.

The unique design of the Fresh Air Exhaust actually aides in pulling the exhaust out of the engine. Larry Mann, the owner of Fresh Air Exhaust and also asylum boardz, has put together this video to help explain the design functionality.
